The Tigers made their Central Districts Football Association debut in 1962, which was only the second year of the competition’s existence. They claimed their only CDFA A1 Grade premiership in 1977, but added two more, in 1993 and 1994, after the competition had altered its name to the Northern Metropolitan Football League. Just as things were looking extremely promising on the field, however, financial and political complications off it forced the club to disband.

The Tigers spent the entire 1995 season in recess, but reformed in time to affiliate with the South Australian Amateur Football League the following year. In 2008 the club’s seniors, competing in division six, managed just 4 wins from 18 matches for the year to avoid the wooden spoon only on percentage.
