Brothers

Based in Rockhampton, Brothers have enjoyed premiership success at least once per decade since their formation. After what was effectively a probationary season of reserves football the ‘Roos were granted senior status in 1983 and made their mark more or less immediately. In 1984 they downed Parkhurst in the Capricornia Australian Football League senior grade grand final before going on to contest the next three grand finals. Only that of 1985, once more against Parkhurst, was lost.

Brothers’ most recent senior grade flag came in 2005 when they accounted for Glenmore in the grand final by 37 points, 12.16 (88) to 7.9 (51). Their most recent senior grade grand final appearance was the following year when they lost by 28 points to BITS Saints.
