AFL Premierships
Division Two - 1988 (1 total)
Formed in 1951 the club was originally known as Batmac Football Club, altering its name to Coburg Districts in 1981. At that time it was competing in the Essendon District Football League’s B Grade competition in which it would contest its first senior grade grand final in 1985, losing narrowly to Airport West.
In 1988 Coburg Districts commenced in division two of the Footscray District Football League, precursor of the Western Region Football League, and promptly won the first and only senior grade premiership in its history. Since then the Lions have been sporadic division two finalists, including the 2008 season when they finished fourth. The reserves meanwhile reached the grand final only to lose by 13 points to Albanvale.
