Golden Grove

Golden Grove’s 4 point victory over Greenacres in the 2008 South Australian Amateur Football League division five grand final was the culmination of an excellent season which had seen the Kookaburras lose just 2 of their 20 matches for the year. The grand final was extremely closely fought, with the scores tied at quarter time, Greenacres ahead by 3 points at the half way mark, and a single point margin in Golden Grove’s favour at the last change. Final scores were Golden Grove 11.10 (76) defeated Greenacres 10.12 (72).
