A merger between the Bremer and Nairne Football Clubs brought the Nairne Bremer United Football Club into existence in 1978, and the club took its bows in the Hills Football League the following year.\n\nThe Rams’ first senior A Grade premiership arrived in 1985 thanks to a 24.11 (155) to 6.3 (39) grand final mauling of Mount Torrens Cambrai. A second flag followed four years later.\n\nIn 1992 the club transferred to the River Murray Football League, where it remained for six seasons. Between 1998 and 2001 it competed in the HFL’s first division competition, while since 2002 it has been a member of the country division. In 2009 the Rams won half of their 16 minor round matches to secure finals participation in fifth place. They then overcame Gumeracha in the elimination final by 20 points before bowing out of the premiership race at the hands of Echunga in the following week’s first semi final.
