Narrandera Imperial has been a significant player on the Riverina football scene since the early years of the last century. The club was a member of the South West District Football League for many years, claiming a total of thirteen senior grade premierships and finishing second eight times. Since commencing in the Riverina Football League when the competition was formed in 1982 the Eagles have found life appreciably tougher, but have still managed to contest three grand finals, winning that of 1986 against Ganmain Grong Grong Matong. They also boast a long history of success in reserves and thirds football, claiming eight triumphs from eighteen grand finals at the former level, and winning ten out of seventeen grand finals at the latter.\n\nThe 2009 season was one of modest achievement for the Eagles, with only the thirds of the club’s three grades managing to qualify for the finals. They ultimately finished fifth.
