Old Ignatians

Admitted to the South Australian Amateur Football League’s A7 Grade (forerunner of today’s division seven) in 1972 Old Ignations almost made a dream start by winning every game of the season apart from the grand final, which was lost to Goodwood. The club’s first senior grade premiership was attained the following year, at the expense of Salesian Old Collegians in A5 Grade.\n\nThe 1970s and 1980s were in some respects the club’s heyday spawning a total of four senior and three reserve grade flags. In 2010 Old Ignations will be members of the SAAFL’s division three competition.
