Prince Alfred Old Collegians

Established in 1926, Prince Alfred Old Collegians was admitted to the South Australian Amateur Football League the same year, making it the longest serving old scholars club in the competition. Prince Alfred’s finest season came in 1937 when it lost the A1 grade challenge final to West Adelaide United. The side’s tally of four A2 grade/division two flags has been bettered only by St Peter’s Old Collegians, which has claimed half a dozen. The Reds’ most recent premiership was captured in 2009 in division four thanks to a 14.15 (99) to 13.11 (89) grand final defeat of Christian Brothers College Old Collegians.
