The Magpies’ impressive haul of thirty-seven senior grade flags includes an almost unbelievable sequence of fifteen straight between 1968 and 1982. More recently, the club captured five flags in succession between 2002 and 2006, while the 10.5 (65) to 8.9 (57) grand final defeat of Tumby Bay in 2008 was regarded at the time as a major upset as it represented the Blues’ only reversal of the season.
