Scoresby

The original Scoresby Football Club was established in 1925, and began competing in he Scoresby District Football Association the following year. After world war two a new club was formed and affiliated with the Dandenong District Football Association, claiming its first ever senior grade premiership in 1947. The Magpies later competed in the Croydon Ferntree Gully Football League, forerunner of the Eastern Districts Football League, and won successive flags in 1959 and 1960.

The early sixties saw Scoresby competing in the EDFL and capturing four Division Two flags in a row between 1962 and 1965. This remains a record run of success for the competition.

The Magpies’ only top level senior grade premiership was won in 1977. Following an eight season stint in Division One, which included successive losing grand finals in 2010-11, Scoresby suffered back to back relegations in 2015 and 2016 meaning that the 2017 season saw them lining up in Division Three for the first time in their history. They performed solidly, qualifying for the finals in fourth place and ultimately finishing fifth after losing the elimination final to Heathmont by 29 points. A year later they improved to earn the double chance in the finals only to suffer the disappointment of a "straight sets" exit at the hands of eventual premiers Boronia.
