Weeroona Bay

Admitted to the Whyalla Football League’s senior competition in 1970, Weeroona Bay first went top in 1985, a year before fellow 1970 inductees Roopena did likewise. Over the course of the ensuing quarter of a century the Tigers have reached another five senior grade grand finals, winning three of them, in 1987 at the expense of Roopena, 1995 against West Whyalla, and 1996 against Roopena once more. They last qualified for a senior grade grand final in 2000 when they went down to Central Whyalla by five straight kicks.
