The ‘Roos are the reigning North Western Football Association senior grade premiers having withstood a fierce challenge from Motton Preston in the 2009 grand final. Trailing by 22 points at the first change Wesley Vale’s players had to dig deep in order to fight their way back into the match, which they did with a blistering 8 goal second term. Thereafter, they were always that little bit better than the Demons, and ended up winning by 25 points, 16.11 (107) to 12.10 (82).
