Club Biography

"While the new franchise was able to take advantage of draft concessions by snaring five uncontracted players from other clubs - Phil Davis (Adelaide), Callan Ward and Sam Reid (WB), Rhys Palmer (Frem) and Tom Scully (Melb) - the job for Sheedy and Williams in the first couple of seasons was essentially going to be a teaching one. Understanding this, the club took the unusual step of recruiting four recently retired players to form part of an 'on-field' assistant coaching staff..."
