Hill End

It has been a long time between drinks for the Hillmen who last enjoyed senior grade premiership success in 1981. Prior to that the club was a consistent force in the Mid Gippsland Football League, claiming flags in 1948, 1949, 1962 and 1974. Recent seasons have been a struggle and indeed the side has not even qualified for the finals since 2004. In both 2015 and 2016 they finished last, winning just 3 of 36 matches played during that time. There was marginal improvement in 2017 as the Hillmen managed 5 wins from 18 matches to climb to eighth place on the ten team premiership ladder but the 2018 season brought a minimal decline in fortunes as only 3 wins were recorded, as a result of which the team finished ninth.
