Koo Wee Rup
Koo Wee Rup was for many years a prominent member of the West Gippsland Football Association (later League), with the seniors claiming a total of four premierships, and finishing second five times. Prior to joining the WGFA as a foundation member in 1927 the club competed for a time in the Berwick District Football Association but few records of this competition remain.
Since transferring to the Ellinbank and District Football League in 2000 the Demons have not enjoyed the best of fortunes, although recent seasons have seen them beginning to assert themselves. In 2014 they contested their first and so far only grand final. This was the season which saw the EllDFL dividing into two geographical sections with the Demons competing in the western division. On grand final day, opposed by Cora Lynn, they failed to do themselves justice and slumped to a 78 point defeat. After missing the finals in the now re-unified league in 2015 Koo Wee Rup returned to major round action in 2016 when they finished fourth after losing the first semi final to Nar Nar Goon by a single point.
The 2017 season saw the Demons taking their place in a newly formed competition, the West Gippsland Football League (not to be confused with the previous competition of that name). They won 10 of their 18 home and away matches to finish sixth of ten teams. A year later they battled their way through to a grand final clash with Phillip Island only to endure a humiliating loss. Not only did they fall short by a massive 99 point margin they failed to kick a single goal all match, ending with a score of just 3 behinds.
