Lameroo

The original Lameroo Football Club competed in the Pinnaroo Football Association before and after world war one. In 1924, it split into two new clubs, Lameroo Rovers (later renamed Lameroo North) and Lameroo South. In 1991 these two clubs merged to create - or, if you prefer, re-create - the Lameroo Football Club which, after three seasons in the Lameroo and Districts Football League became a foundation member of the Mallee Football League. Since 1994 the Tigers have been far and away the most successful club in the MFL, contesting thirteen senior grade grand finals for ten wins. Lameroo players have also claimed a total of fourteen Mail Medals with ex-Norwood and Adelaide player Rodney Maynard winning half a dozen of them.

Lameroo Football Club Mark One enjoyed premiership success on a couple of occasions, while Lameroo Rovers/North won nine flags and Lameroo South thirteen.
