Apart from the odd blip, over the past couple of decades the Tigers have fielded consistently strong sides. Five of their half a dozen senior grade premierships have been won since 1996, with the 2006 team going through the entire season unbeaten. Since claiming the 2008 flag the Tigers have been regular finalists but they also endured the ignominy of a wooden spoon in 2014. The 2015 season brought marked improvement as they finished just 1 win plus percentage adrift of finals qualification. A year later finals qualification was comfortably achieved for an ultimate finishing position of fourth, a result that was duplicated in 2017. Then, in 2018 the Tigers took the ultimate step, achieving their sixth senior grade premiership triumph after suffering the setback of a qualifying final loss to Bell Post Hill. On grand final day they faced minor premiers Inverleigh and lead at every change by 2, 31 and 39 points en route to a 10.13 (73) to 5.13 (43) triumph.
