The Bulldogs captured their first senior grade premiership in 2016 when they accounted for Mitta United in the grand final by 60 points. This was the Bulldogs' second grand final appearance, with the first having been in 2012, when they had also faced Mitta United, only to lose on that occasion by 59 points. The 2017 season brought further finals involvement culminating in another grand final triumph, this time at the expense of Kiewa Sandy Creek with scores of 22.10 (142) to 8.9 (57). A year later the Bulldogs again reached the grand final but opponents Kiewa Sandy Creek proved comfortably too strong. There was minor consolation of sorts in that the club's twos went top by defeating Tallangatta in their grand final by 44 points.
