About Me

I am not someone who could be referred to as a footy fan in the true sense of the term. I have an interest in the results and watch the Grand Final, but that's about it. Through family research I have learned that my great uncle, Henry Hawthorn Chase, played for Brunswick, and my grandfather, Ernest Chase, was a masseur for the club. Henry was pretty good according to reports read in the Argus, and on the footy site previous to this one, where I learnt that he was a leading goal kicker in 1909. It has sparked a more active interest in the game, including its history.
