Biography

Arthur Rademacher (born 27 November 1889) was an Australian rules footballer who played with South Melbourne in the Victorian Football League (VFL).

Rademacher, originally from Leopold, was a half back flanker in South Melbourne's 1918 premiership team. He had also played in the side which lost the 1914 Grand Final to Carlton.

After leaving South Melbourne, Rademacher plied his trade at Hawthorn who were competing in the VFA and spent some time as captain-coach. In 1933 he coached Hawthorn, now in the VFL, for four games for a solitary win.
