A key player for West Perth during the first decade of the 20th century, Harold Rowe was equally effective as a follower resting in defence, or across half back or half forward. He was a member of the Cardinals' 1905 premiership team, and was still an important member of the side six years later when it lowered its colours to East Fremantle in the Grand Final.
