Anthony Condon was a tough, hard running on-baller who seemingly possessed immense reserves of stamina. Although he went about his work almost surreptitiously at times he was nevertheless a key figure in Hawthorn's great late 1980s and early 1990s sides and was a dual premiership player (1989 and 1991). Originally from Koonung he played 145 V/AFL games and booted 49 goals between 1987 and 1997. He was a Victorian state of origin representative twice. Condon suffered a fair number of injuries over the course of his career, including having to undergo a full knee construction. Had that not been the case he would certainly have been a 200 game player.
