George Weatherill joined Richmond in 1919 and went on to play 53 VFL games and kick five goals over the ensuing five seasons. Most of his football was played in the backlines. In 1921 he was an ever-present in the Tigers' victorious finals teams against Geelong in a Semi Final, and Carlton in both the Final and Challenge Final.
