Harry Weidner was a pacy, elusive half forward flanker who liked to kick a goal, registering 128 over the course of his career. His 96 VFL games between 1926 and 1932 included the losing grand finals of 1927-8-9, all against Collingwood. He represented Victoria once, in 1928. His time with the Tigers came to a highly disappointing end in 1932 when he was prevented by injury from lining up in the triumphant grand final clash with Carlton.
Prior to Richmond Weidner played with Warragul Rovers in 1922 and Warragul from 1923 to 1926. He returned to Warragul for a time once his VFL career was over.
