Kevin Bryant was a handy utility who excelled for East Perth in 95 games from 1973 to 1978 and in 1985-6. In 1979 he crossed to North Melbourne and added 58 VFL games over the course of a six season stint. Seldom spectacular, he nevertheless gave good service when called upon. While with the Royals he played in the 1978 grand final defeat of Perth, the same season which saw him receive the club’s fairest and best award. In the 1979 Perth state of origin carnival he contributed to host state Western Australia’s eventual success.
