The community leadership board reflects the number of points members have gained, expressed cumulatively over a year.
Membership Levels (based on points scored) The cumulative number of points members have attained qualifies them for certain levels of membership. These levels can be written beneath the member's name whenever he contributes.

60 points per article (1,000+ words)
An article or essay is a substantive piece of original writing that explores the subject matter in greater depth than is customary of a blog. It should do so in an analytical and/or reflective manner that is factually accurate, internally consistent, and objective.

20 points per blog (approx 250-750 words)
A blog is a journal style of original writing that may explore the subject matter in a more informal and/or subjective manner than is customary of an article or essay. Blogs allow greater scope for personal opinion but should be factually accurate and avoid inflammatory comment.

1-500 points per stats data set
A stats data set is a group of related stats in a standardized format and able to be uploaded and/or integrated into the existing website to expand and/or supplement existing stats. Points are allocated on the basis of the breadth, scope, and importance of the stats involved.

5 points per successful referral
A successful referral means an action that leads to another person signing up as a member of AF. The new member should name the referrer when signing up so as to confirm the authenticity of the referral.

2 points per comment
"Comments written" refers to the number of comments that a member has contributed to the website as a whole, including original AF content and other member?s content.

"Comments received" refers to the number of times that other members have commented on that member's content. The member receiving the "comment" gains the point.

5 points per hundred page views
A "content read" refers to the number of times that others have viewed the member's content as measured by page views. Initially set at one hundred page views, this should increase over time as traffic numbers increase.

1 point per like
"Content likes" refers to the number of times that others have clicked on the "Like" button to express their approval of another member's content. The member receiving the "Like" gains the point. Members are limited to giving one "Like" per content item.

"Comment likes" refers to the number of times that others have clicked on the "Like" button to express their approval of another member's comments. The member receiving the "Like" gains the point.

1 point per follower
Each member can generate a "following" (generating a notification each time that member posts new material) and each time that member is "followed" by another member he gains a point.

5 points per suggestion implemented
Members are welcome to send suggestions about the website covering ideas about improvements and/or additions that would enhance the site. If those ideas are implemented, the member receives five points.

Members are encouraged to identify problems, factual errors, and/or typos on the website, and when those corrections are made will receive two points.
