The death of Percy Gibb

Mr. Percy Gibb, vice-president and life member of Collingwood Football Club, died this afternoon. Mr. Gibb had a life-long association with the club. He played with them for some years and to his death was a member of the finance committee.
The late Percy Gibb played with Collingwood from 1904 to 1914 and was one of the game's cleverest wing-men He was a member of the famous Magpie centre line which had Jock McHale, present Collingwood coach, in the centre pivot, and Henry Allen on the other wing. From the time of his retirement from playing he was a member of the Collingwood football committee, and he also represented the football club on the Collingwood cricket committee.
After attending the recent grand final football match Mr. Gibb took ill late the same afternoon. He was 59.
