"Essendon's performances in season 2000 were among the most noteworthy in football history. After waltzing unbeaten to the Ansett Cup, the Bombers won all bar one of 25 home-and-away and finals matches culminating in an apparently effortless 10-goal grand final demolition of Melbourne.
