Bomaderry commenced in the Leisure Coast Australian Football League, precursor of today’s South Coast Australian Football League, in the competition’s second season, 1970. Far and away the most noteworthy phase in the club’s history to date came between 1989 and 2010 when a competition record eight senior grade premierships were procured. The  2010 flag was obtained by means of an 11.13 (79) to 6.4 (40) grand final defeat of Wollongong University. More recently, the club has fielded teams in both Division Two and Division Three. In 2018 both these teams were successful in claiming premierships.
