Collegians

Quite aside from its commendable record in terms of premiership victories Collegians is the sort of club which perfectly embodies and enhances the amateur ideal. Historically, the club has boasted strength across all the grades, with a high proportion of its colts players progressing through the ranks to senior level. Currently boasting three senior and two colts teams the Blues are one of the largest amateur football clubs in Western Australia, and their total of twenty-one flags since 1965 across the various grades makes them also one of the most successful. Their most recent premiership came in B Grade in 2010 thanks to a 13.14 (92) to 12.9 (81) grand final defeat of Maddington. It had been a dominant season all round for the Blues who, prior to the finals, had won 17 of their 18 matches to clinch the minor premiership with some comfort.

In recent seasons Collegians have spent most of their time in B Grade. In 2016 they got as far as the preliminary final in which they succumbed by 42 points to Whitford but in 2017 and 2018 they missed the finals altogether, finishing sixth both times.
