Coolbinia West Perth

After several seasons of promise Coolbinia West Perth’s seniors endured a dire time in 2008, succumbing to relegation from B Grade without winning a match. The reserves fared only slightly better. They too ended up with the wooden spoon, but they did at least have the satisfaction of recording a win. The next couple of seasons were a struggle but in 2011 the Falcons broke through to obtain their first and so far only senior grade WAFL flag courtesy of a 12.12 (84) to 6.8 (44) C2 Grade grand final defeat of Ocean Ridge.

In the past few seasons Coolbinia West Perth have competed in C2 Grade finishing sixth in 2014 before improving by one place the following year. In 2016, however, they slumped to second from last after winning just three of their 18 home and away fixtures, bringing demotion to C3 Grade for 2017. With seven wins from 18 matches the Falcons finished seventh in 2017 and followed this with a superb 2018 season which culminated in a 16.10 (106) to 7.8 (50) grand final defeat of Kwinana. Subsequent seasons have produced fifth (2019) and seventh (2020) place finishes.
