Happy Valley WFC
The Vikings commenced in 2017 in Division Four of the Adelaide Women's Footy League. They proved to be the team to beat during the minor round, ultimately qualifying for the finals in pole position with a 12-2 record. They then proceeded straight to the grand final on the strength of a 1.5 (11) to 1.1 (7) second semi final defeat of Adelaide University's third team. However, when the same two sides again confronted one another on grand final day it was the Uni women who prevailed with a 3.0 (18) to 2.4 (16) triumph. A year later the Vikings enjoyed a stellar season during which they won every game contested, 12 in the minor round and 2 finals matches. Not that it was all plain sailing. Gaza, Happy Valley's opponent in both the second semi final and grand final, took the game right up to the Vikings on both occasions. However, Happy Valley ultimately prevailed, by 9 points in the second semi and 13 points in the decisive fixture of the year, to earn a highly meritorious and memorable premiership. Meanwhile Happy Valley also fielded a team in Division Four in 2018. This team came fourth.
