Coached by former Greenacres player Kelly Spence the Ingle Farm Women's Football Club got underway in the South Australian Women's Football League Open competition in 2012. The side performed creditably on debut, but over subsequent seasons it began to find the going tough. In 2015, in what by this stage was a two division comp, the Bulldogs managed just a solitary win all season to finish bottom of Division One, a result which meant relegation to Division Two. The 2016 season saw the the side's fortunes dip even more alarmingly as it lost all 16 matches contested to succumb once more to the wooden spoon. With women's football in South Australia enjoying increased exposure and more widespread interest it was not surprising that the 2017 season saw the SAWFL expanding to comprise five divisions. Ingle Farm again lined up in Division Two but it once again proved a season to forget as the team again lost every match in slumping to another wooden spoon. It was not all doom and gloom, however, as despite being beaten every week team spirit remained buoyant and it was noticeable that performances improved as the season went on.  Fronting up in Division Three in 2018 the Bulldogs endured another testing season, winning just 3 out of 12 minor round matches to finish sixth of seven teams.
