Kojonup

Kojonup joined the Lower South West Football League from the Great Southern Football League in 2008. The club had to dispense with its previous emblem (Magpies) and colours (black and white) because these were already in use by LSWFL founding club Manjimup Imperials. Now nicknamed the Cougars and bedecked in navy blue and white they broke through to claim their first LSWFL flag in 2014 by means of a crushing 82 point grand final defeat of Tigers. Scores were Kojonup 21.17 (143) defeated Tigers 10.11 (71). They again reached the finals in 2015 only to drop out of the flag race with a slightly unfortunate first semi final loss to Imperials. A year later they suffered a disappointing slump to fifth place on the seven team premiership ladder before dropping down to sixth in 2017. This was followed in 2018 by the supreme indignity of a wooden spoon.
