Mackay City

The Hawks have recently emerged as AFL Mackay's dominant force with four of their eight senior grade flags being claimed in the past seven seasons. Their most recent premiership was obtained in 2016 when they accounted for Moranbah in the grand final by 74 points, 19.12 (126) to 8.4 (52). A year later they again made the grand final only to lose by 24 points to Whitsunday Sea Eagles. In stark contrast, they ended up with the 2018 wooden spoon after managing just a couple of wins from 16 home and away contests.
