With ninet senior grade flags to their name the Magpies, who were among the founder members of the Lower South West Football League in 1959, have been the competition’s third most successful club. They were grand finalists in both 2016 and 2017 when they went down to Southerners by 50 points in the former year and by 29 points in the latter. Then in 2018 they procured their eighth premiership with a heart stopping 2 point grand final defeat of Deanmill. Scores were Imperials 14.6 (90) defeated Deanmill 12.16 (88).
