The Hawks' record over the seven seasons of their existence has been mixed. For example, in 2017 they finished bottom of Division One after losing all 10 matches contested. Relegated to Division Two as a consequence they endured another dismal campaign in 2018, winning just 1 out of 15 matches to succumb to a second straight wooden spoon. By contrast, they qualified for the finals in Division Two in 2014 (finished third) and in Division One in 2016 (fifth). The Modbury Football Club as a whole boasts over five hundred players in various categories making it one of the largest clubs in South Australia.
