Warnbro Swans
Warnbro Swans seniors were formed in 1989 and their initial colours were red and white, the same as VFL club Sydney, hence the Swans nickname. After spending their first couple of seasons competing in the Murray District Football League the Swans transferred to the amateurs where they have remained since.Perhaps the highpoint of their existence to date came in 2002 when they were crowned premiers of the Western Australian Amateur Football League's D Grade competition. In 2016, captained by Ben Voges (brother of Australian cricketer Adam), and now decked out in vibrant gold, purple, red and black playing uniforms, the seniors played in C2 Grade, and finished in seventh place on the premiership ladder after winning 7 and drawing 1 of their 18 home and away league matches. A year later they did somewhat better, qualifying for the finals and ultimately finishing third. Then, in 2018 they broke through to claim their first flag since 2002 courtesy of an 8.5 (53) to 6.3 (39) grand final defeat of pre-match favourites Ocean Ridge.
