West Bairnsdale

West Bairnsdale wore brown and gold stripes as the Hawks, seeing its greatest success in the Riviera Football League when it won four premierships in five seasons during the late 1980s and early 1990s, including a three-peat from 1987 to 1989.

After more than fifteen seasons in the Riviera league but struggling to see a future, West Bairnsdale attempted a merger with East Gippsland league club Wy Yung in early 2002. The Hawks initially approached the Tigers about joining forces and the pair agreed, but the merger was eventually kiboshed by West Bairnsdale members.

The club entered recess with the hope of reforming for 2003, but ultimately disbanded.
