About Me

I have been a fan of Australian rules football since 1980. Living in Sydney, I chose Geelong as my VFL team as they were the only non-Melbourne team. I was a Geelong member between 2001 and 2006. I have attended AFL, SANFL, WAFL, TFL and SFL matches during the past 20 or so years. Outside of football, my main sporting interest is being the unofficial historian for the Windsor RSL Speedway, which operated in the Hawkesbury district from 1949 to 1968. I love reading about the history of a wide range of sports - the competitors, events, clubs and the history, both dramatic, record-breaking, odd and bizarre of those sports.

Favourite Players

Gary Ablett

Favourite Moment

Geelong winning the 2007 AFL Grand Final. The Cats last flag was in 1963 - the year before I was born!
