Match Report

Adelaide kept its hopes for the minor premiership alive after easily accounting for fellow top-four contender West Coast. The Crows jumped the Eagles early, kicking six goals to one in the first quarter. West Coast was missing a number of key players, particularly up forward. It was the Eagles’ second straight loss, having thrashed by top of the table Sydney in Perth a week earlier. The Crows had too many winners all over the ground. Young star Patrick Dangerfield was electric, while Bernie Vince, playing his 100th game, kicked four goals. Key forward Kurt Tippett was again unlucky after suffering a head clash with West Coast’s Beau Waters. He was subbed off in the third quarter with concussion. It was his third serious head knock in just a month, something that would be of major concern to all involved with the Crows. West Coast midfield accumulator Matt Priddis was best for his side.

COACHES COMMENTS
Brenton Sanderson (Adel): Our docs are fantastic, they'll make a good call (on Tippett’s injury), they'll make the correct call and I'm sure that by sort of Wednesday or Thursday we'll be a lot clearer about what happens from here.

John Worsfold (WC): We've been smashed in the scores from stoppages the last two weeks. It's an area we have to address.

Umpires: Leppard, Fila, Meredith
