The action continued on down south at the Hickinbotham Oval in Noarlunga, the twilight start on Friday afternoon drew just over 4,500 people for the Clash of the Cats... South Adelaide taking on Glenelg. The Panthers were half responsible for the Tigers not featuring in the finals last year, their last encounter in the penultimate round of the minor season saw South take a 17-point victory at the Gliderol Stadium to close their year. That and the Eagles victory in that round would deny the Tigers an elimination final berth. The last 12 games have seen the Bays triumph in six outings, a drawn game at Noarlunga in 2011 stopped the rot as the Panthers would then take three matches on the trot which included the elimination final and the following contest in 2012.

The Panthers would take the initiative first, bravely fighting a Glenelg line-up with several AFL-listed players to kick 3.4 to 2.2 to lead by eight points at quarter-time. The Tigers would flex their muscle in the second quarter though, scoring 6.4 to South's 4.1 to take a seven-point lead at the half-time break. The Panthers were getting a bit rattled from here, a lot of kicking in hope started to trickle into their game plan and the Tigers took control. South had their talls around, but they would be of little advantage. When play resumed the Tigers stepped it up, kicking 6.4 to the Panthers three goals to extend their lead to 29 points. South did make attempt to fight back in the final term, but three consecutive goals from an overall 4.1 just wouldn't do, even though Glenelg got the wobbles in goal to kick 3.7 the visitors still left with a 29-point win. Despite that, it seems that Good Friday twilight footy is a winner with the people, the turnout topping last year's number by just over 300.

In the best afield department, the Tigers named Craig Pitt as their standout while the Panthers voted for Nick Liddle.
