Match Report

At Glenelg Oval, Tigers fans were about to get a peek at what's in store for Season 2006, that's if nothing goes wrong, as Glenelg faced the Eagles.

The Tigers got off to a good start while the Eagles struggled to find the goal. At quarter time, it was 3.2 to 1.6, the Tigers by eight points. They followed it up in the second term, but the Tigers could have been up by more if they kicked better. Glenelg adding 5.5 to the Eagles 1.1 to finish the first half. The Eagles came into the third term a lot more competitive, at one point closing to within five points. The visitors added 6.1 to Glenelg's two goals, but still behind by 11 points at three-quarter time. But the Bays weren't going to allow this, not in front of their home crowd. They blitzed away with a 6.2 to 2.2 final term to win by 35 points, making up for their loss in the opening round of the year.

Richard Douglas may have earned himself a Crows call up for his efforts, not only bagging two goals but also named best for Glenelg, while Tim Inkster was best for the Eagles.
