We head up north to the Hamra Homes Oval, where the Bulldogs looked to inflict more misery on the luckless Bloods. But today wasn't going to be a straight out beating, in fact it was the exact opposite as both sides struggled to boot a goal.
In the first term, it was just behinds being scored with a total of seven for the quarter, the Bloods in front by just three points. They both found the goal in the second quarter, the Dogs going up by one goal at half-time. Extremely silly errors on Central's part was the story of their day, but it was guys like Justin Westhoff and Matt Slade that kept the Bloods at arms length. The Dogs looked like they would get out of jail after a more accurate third quarter where they booted 3.4 to 1.1, they led by 21 points at three-quarter time. In the final quarter, the Bloods started to reel in their opponent, it was unfortunate that two conceded behinds to Centrals -- their only score for the final term -- probably contributed to West's loss by eight points.
Slade was named best for Centrals, while West goalsneak Ben Haynes was also best afield.
