We head to the Coopers Stadium on The Parade as the Redlegs faced the Bloods. Last week the Bloods won their second match of the season, away from home against the Panthers, while the Redlegs had the bye after defeating top-placed Sturt at home.
The contest was close early on, only three points separating the two at quarter-time after the Redlegs kicked 3.5 to West's 3.2. Norwood's inaccuracy continued in the second quarter and although the Bloods had one more goal on the board, the scores were locked away at 40 points a piece, 5.10 to 6.4. The comedy of Redleg scoring errors continued in the second half, allowing the Bloods to stay in the hunt. Norwood managed to stretch the margin out to seven points by three quarter-time after kicking 2.6 to 1.5. The home side won in the end, but the poor kicking on goal - another 2.6 to West's 2.1 - will no doubt have many in the Redlegs camp on edge come finals time, despite their two goal victory.
James Gallagher was voted best for Norwood, while the Westies camp named Damian Cupido as their best afield.
