At the Adelaide Oval the Double Blues would take on the Tigers in the other Friday night contest. The Tigers have had the better of the Blues for a while, from the last 13 matches they have only lost two, but one of those was a Preliminary Final in 2009. The Tigers have copped a bit of flak lately after losses to West and Central, but the Blues haven't fared any better after two straight losses from the last two weeks.
The first quarter was a goal-fest, the Tigers taking a seven-point lead at quarter-time after kicking 6.3 to Sturt's 5.2 after the hosts had taken the first two majors. Glenelg began to assert themselves better in the second term, stretching the gap out to 27 points by the long break after adding a further 6.4 to 3.2. The cubs of Tigerland were among those stepping up for the Bays and from here, they were all over the Blues. Sturt's injury list was growing though, which didn't help their cause as the Tigers began to kick away, they began the second half with a 5.4 to 4.4 third quarter. At the final change, the Tigers held a 33-point advantage. The last quarter was a Tigers feast, they smashed home 8.3 to 4.3 to post a 57-point win.
Ben Kennedy was named best afield for the Bays, while Sturt named Josh Cubillo as their standout.
