Geelong Looks Too Strong
Geelong, at home, should not be unduly troubled to defeat South. Melbourne today. South Melbourne's defence Is unlikely to be equal to smothering Geelong's brilliant forward work. South Melbourne by placing Ron Clegg at centre half forward and Gordon Lane on a half-forward flank has also introduced a touch of class to Its attack, but the opposition is likely be much sterner from such Geelong defenders as Hyde, Scott and Middlemiss.
May Have Trouble
If his source of supply from the half forwards is restricted Goldsmith, South's full forward, may be in trouble. To outwit a full back of the calibre of Morrison, Goldsmith needs perfect delivery of the ball. Geelong's ruck strength Is suspect, but South's followers do not look strong enough to take advantage of that weakness sufficiently to swing the game.
