Tigers Should Open With Win

Richmond, more settled and playing at home, should open the season with a win against a young and inex perienced Footscray, which is team building. Footscray has gambled heavily by placing four men new to their positions along the goal to goal line. If they fail, the Tigers will have little difficulty keeping the ball forward to provide match-winning opportunities. Weight, height and experience is well blended In the Richmond defence, and good opportunities should come from the centre line, through the cleverness of Stokes and the dash of Nix.
There should be some interesting clashes in the rucks, where Bryden and McRae, helped by the robust roving of Sutton, are capable of testing fully Richmond's combination of Morris, Oppy and Wilson,
