After playing seven games for Port Melbourne in 1996 Brad Campbell was taken by St Kilda in the 1997 pre-season draft. He spent three seasons with the Saints without really establishing himself, playing just 22 games and kicking two goals. Most of his football was played in a back pocket. He next crossed to Subiaco where he did well over the course of a three season, 51 game, 19 goal stint. He also played for Western Australia against South Australia at Football Park in Adelaide in 2000, winning the Simpson Medal as the sandgropers’ best on the day.
