From The Rock-Yerong Creek Football Club, Brett Scott debuted with South Melbourne in 1981 and continued with the club after it relocated to Sydney the following year. A talented centreman, he was repeatedly handicapped by injury over the course of a nine season VFL career which saw him play just 59 games and score 44 goals.
After retiring as a player Scott served on the Swans’ match committee, including a two game stint as caretaker coach following the sacking of Gary Buckenara in 1993.
